It tries to prove that computers can automate creative designs and aid humans in the exploration of creative ideas. It tries to make one aware that one can increase his/her productivity and enhance his/hercreative capabilities using computers. This role for the computer can be illustrated in the context of computer support to creative design. In order to design computer systems that support creative process, it is important to understand that process well enough to predict what might help, rather than hinder. Therefore, the paper tries to define the characteristics of what the computer must do in order to augment creative thinking.
