This paper explores the emergence of new narrative formats, investigating the confluence of cultural and technological forces that are constantly unfolding and converging to form environments where these narrative formats can emerge. With the advent of computers, the subsequent digitalization of conventional media content and the network society - rich environments have emerged that could nurture the growth of new formats.
