MA dissertation : Interactive Digital Media
The focus of this paper is to explore the evolution of animation and its relevance to storytelling, characters and technical advances. The critical aspects of technical output and limitations as well as reconciliation with other medium are also explored. In order to understand the fundamental ideas in animation it is necessary to look at them in historical perspective, how they have evolved collaterally with story and tool.
