The main objective of this study is to investigate the possibility of intergrating the art of memory, the ancient art of memorisation, into digital information design and retrieval Beginining with a history of the art of memory, the technique's sequence of development is described. The selected works of three art of memory philosophers are discussed, and the initial prospects of the art of memory for digital information are surveyed.
