This dissertation attempts to answer the following question: can digital media help autistic children to improve communication and social skills? In the search for an answer we will explore different concepts such as, theories of language acquisition, stimulation of the senses, multimedia in relation with learning support and interactivity between the user and media object. All of them will be applied and tested in the splash of interaction project.
