Going public - how technology shapes a transparent digital world

How a tendency of a more transparent digital world is being shaped by technology, as well as the impacts from this tendency on the public and private sphere in people's life nowadays. This study starts with a review in the concept of public and private realm overtime, and the issue of privacy in an age of information. Followed by the review, this study first demonstrates how technology has affected to the public and private domain in society, in both passive and active ways. Secondly, an analysis of the reason behind these effects. and as outlook of the future of digital era in regards to the topic of going public and a more transparent society is being conducted. Practical projects as an illustration and portray of this research is finally presented, draw to the final conclusion that it is back to people's hands to drive a more transparent digital era, by the means of technology development and that a new form of public realm may come to exist in cyberspace, which would provide new chances for people to behave and communicate in both their public and private domains.
